Annalyn DiBello came screaming into the world on November 23rd, 1988 to two completely unready, young adults. Her Mother, Lella, had just graduated high school and was barely finishing her first yeah at New Jersey City University in Jersey City, New Jersey when she found out she was pregnant. Annalyn's Father, a casual partner of Lella's, was completely against having a baby and down right refused to give any help. Returning to her hometown of Longport, New Jersey, Lella was left alone to raise her daughter with the help of her parents.
Annalyn's childhood seemed normal and for the most part, it was. With the exception of the "father figure", her grandparents and Mother filled every need for the growing girl. She never had giftless birthdays or Christmases, never went to bed hungry, and never wanted for anything. In fact, most of her days were spent swimming in the family pool, playing in the large backyard, or just playing with her endless amount of toys. A dream life for any toddler to ten year old.
When she was thirteen, Lella met a local chef. Jeff, who would later become Annalyn's step-father, was the owner of a local seafood bar and grille. After a couple of years of dating, Jeff and Lella married, finally completing the DiBello's immediate family. Annalyn loves her step-father dearly and they have a close relationship now. However, when he first moved in, there was hellish fights and terrible drag-outs that almost always resulted in Annalyn retreating to her treehouse for hours on end.
Since sixteen is the normal age for kids to get first jobs, Annalyn was sent to wait tables at Jeff's restaurant. Most people hated waiting tables but Annalyn relished in it. She got to meet a number of interesting people who greatly outweighed those she wished she could forget, and most of the tips didn't hurt her interest in the job. When she finally did quit, she made the promise to return every summer to continue the job she grew to love.
When the time came to apply to colleges, Annalyn wasted no time in sending an application in to over twenty schools. Her time to boast came when she received acceptance letters to nineteen of the twenty-two schools she applied to. And her decision came down to two schools: New Jersey City University and Richard Stockton College. Deciding that she would rather not go somewhere that her Mother had gone, she chose Richard Stockton. She is currently in classes for a double major in History and Philosophy.
For thirteen years, Annalyn only knew her grandfather as her male role model. Since her Father was completely out of the picture, she was left up to whatever her Mother and relatives would fill in for her. Instead of completing coming to hate his entire being, Annalyn just shrugs it off and thanks God for the wonderful man she has come to call J-Dad. He treats her as his own child and gives the world to Lella, which is all Annalyn needs to be happy.
Annalyn knows she'll wind up becoming a historian, stuck in a stuffy, old archives. While the idea thrills her because she loves history and finding out the stories of how the world came to be the way it is. But her true dream would be to become a rockstar. She wants to perform and loves music, but she feels she has no musical talent whatsoever.
Some current obsessions of Annalyn's are: any animals, HGTV, E!, The N and majorly Degrassi, hospital blankets, scarves and hats, and books on wars or love. Some of her dislikes include: spiders, pickles, hamburgers, dust, black nail polish, too short pants, and laundry. She regularly watches webshows and is pretty much addicted to
Fred.
